How to Get Amazon PA API Keys for Your Affiliate Site

Amazon's Product Advertising API (PA API) is what lets tools display live product data — images, prices, Prime status — with your affiliate tag attached. Here's how to get access.

Step 0: the eligibility rule most people miss

PA API access requires an Amazon Associates account that has already made at least three qualifying sales. Brand-new associates can't pull API keys on day one — get your first sales with plain affiliate links first.

Getting your keys

  1. Sign in to Amazon Associates.
  2. Open Tools → Product Advertising API.
  3. Click Add credentials. Amazon generates an Access Key ID and a Secret Access Key.
  4. Save the secret key immediately — Amazon shows it only once.

Your tracking ID matters too

API requests must include one of your Associate tracking IDs (like yoursite-20). You'll find them in the Associates dashboard header. Tools use the pair — API keys plus tracking ID — to fetch data and credit clicks to you.

Adding keys to Table Labs

In Table Labs, go to Profile → Account, add your Access Key ID and your tracking IDs, and save both. From then on every table you build pulls live Amazon data under your account.

Seeing throttling errors with fresh keys? That's normal at low sales volume — read our PA API throttling guide.
