How to Add an Amazon Product Comparison Table in WordPress

Comparison tables are the highest-converting block you can put in an Amazon affiliate post. Readers skim, compare, and click — and a well-built table routinely doubles the click-through rate of inline text links.

The problem: building them by hand in WordPress is painful. Table blocks weren't designed for products, prices go stale, and Amazon's terms require displayed prices to be current.

Option 1: build it manually (free, fragile)

You can build a comparison table with the WordPress table block or TablePress: one row per product, columns for image, name, rating, and a link. It works — until Amazon changes a price or an image URL, at which point your table is outdated and technically violates Amazon's price-display policy. Multiply that by twenty roundup posts and manual upkeep becomes a part-time job.

Option 2: a PA API-powered table builder

Table Labs connects to the Amazon Product Advertising API with your own affiliate keys, so every table pulls the product image, title, price, and Prime status straight from Amazon — and keeps them current automatically. You build the table once in a visual editor, then embed it in WordPress with a single line of JavaScript. No plugin to install, no shortcodes, and the same table works on any platform, not just WordPress.

Embedding in WordPress, step by step

  1. Create your table in Table Labs and click Embed — you get a one-line script tag.
  2. In the WordPress editor, add a Custom HTML block where the table should appear.
  3. Paste the embed line. Preview the post — the table renders live.

Because the table is served from Table Labs, edits you make later (adding a product, changing columns) appear on your site instantly without touching the post.
